This depiction shows the fire isn’t a necessary part of the space but the warmth it brings. The space is an homage to how conversing isn’t a necessary part of communication. This space is the development of a traditional campfire, not a message to return to traditional campfires.

Rationale:

The sound is an homage to finnish folklore specifically the string instrument ‘kantele’ with is used by the mythic character Vainamoinen that is believed to attributesmagical properties to music and songs. They were believed to possess the power to heal, protect, and influence the environment. Singing or chanting was thought to have the ability to control natural forces or bring luck and success in different endeavors.

In essence, this urban portrayal intertwines the elements of light and sound, channelling the essence of this tradition. The light, drawing from a fire’s warmth. Allows the participants to immerse and become themselves a part of the space.
